The Igigi flagship was the first vessel to be outfitted with the Power Crystal drive. The preliminary tests, followed by short runs into neighbouring solar systems proved the efficacy of the new propulsion system. Regent Marduk was proud of the work accomplished by Anilah and his engineers. The new Crystal drives would permit his military to clearly navigate the space that Herculobus was projected to travel through years before the planet actually arrived there. The ancient gas planet had often been at the peril of other humanoid races that had caused them problems in the past. Over the millennia, the Osirion had been attacked and invaded by other world humanoids when Herculobus voyaged through heavily protected solar systems. Wars with other worlds had occurred, lasting months and sometimes years until the rogue planet moved out of range. Regent Marduk perceived the Crystal drives as an upgrade to his military and exploration divisions. With the knowledge of where Herculobus was heading exactly, the Osirion would be able to prepare the planet’s defences accordingly.

The Crystal drives were independent of the lode Power Crystal on Herculobus, their programming changed to uniquely power ships and not have any symbiotic exchange with a Guardian. Anilah was the only one who could initially activate the Power Crystals once placed in a ship. Following the activation of the new Crystal drive, the ships’ engineers would handle the duty of monitoring the new propulsion system. Commander Tshrnau was pleased with the installation of the new drive in his flagship, yet he began pressuring Anilah to outfit the remainder of his twelve warship fleet with the same.

It was early morning when Commander Tshrnau stormed into the Power Crystal generating chamber startling Anilah as she went over the previous night’s monitoring report.

“Guardian, why are you placing Crystal drives in Marduk’s fleet for?” The older man growled, his indigo eyes angrily flashing with blue fire as he confronted the slight woman before him.

“Commander, good morning to you too.” She replied evenly, sensing the frustration and anger that poured off him like dirty water down a rocky slimy slope. She glanced back at the monitor, making a few adjustments to the power grid.

Tshrnau glowered at her, his tall frame stiff beneath his armour as he inhaled deeply to calm himself down. Crossing his powerful large biceps before him, he waited patiently for the young woman to address him.

Anilah smiled to herself. Over the past two years, the Igigi brute had understood that he could not talk to her in any aggressive manner what so ever. If he did, she would just ignore him and carry on her duties without addressing his concerns. It had frustrated him to no ends in the past, but the taciturn Igigi commander had learned to develop his then non-existent patience when in the presence of the young Pleiadian Guardian. Once she had counted to sixty seconds, she turned around to face the scowling warrior, a pleasant smile on her smooth face.

“Regent Marduk has mandated me to outfit the remainder of his fleet before continuing on with your warships.
